Pictures for Grandpa

The Golden Dome, our main building and most distinct landmark on campus.

The Basilica, sits just to the left of the Dome.

In front on the Dome is a long entry parkway lined with trees, statues and flowers.

A statue of the founder, Fr. Sorin.

A view of the Dome and Basilica from across the lake, with a swan swimming right towards me.

A fountain on campus nicknamed Stonehenge.

One side of the new expansion of the stadium that holds a new student center with tons of meeting rooms, some new restaurants, and a big fireplace.

Another iconic landmark is the mural on the south side of the library, facing the stadium. It's named The Word of Life but everyone calls it Touchdown Jesus.

And this is the building I work in, McCourtney Hall. They finished it and everyone moved in right when I arrived in the summer of 2016.
Here's a picture of my research group on a lunch outing we all went on.

And this is when a new member that will be joining us in a few months came to visit the campus.

Here are a some nice sunsets we had during the few clear spring nights when there weren't thunderstorms clouding the sky.
And lastly, a shot of one of the infamous Notre Dame squirrels. Besides all the squirrels that have come back of since the snow melted, I've seen a bunch of bunnies and chipmunks around campus and even a few deer in the wooded outskirts.
